Upstate Getaway: Hasbrouck House
In our series of Upstate Getaways, we’re covering the best hotels with new things to do and upcoming events, inspiring your next weekend trip away from the hustle and bustle of New York City.
Less than two hours away from the city, the 18th century mansion Hasbrouck House combines its historic features with luxury offerings. Each rooms seamlessly blends a vintage aesthetic with modern touches, from dreamy beds with soft linens to beautiful bathtubs alongside Kiehl’s amenities, while large windows overlook the surrounding grounds.
With a passion for farm-to-table cuisine, chef Aaron Abramson – formerly of the world’s top restaurants Noma and Mugaritz – now has his very own garden on-site, complimenting seasonal produce from local farms. Welcoming the new season, chef Abramson has added a variety of beautiful dishes to his ever-rotating menu, including pork cheek with fiddlehead ferns; wild salmon with ramps and asparagus, and baby lettuces sprinkled with fermented apple vinaigrette.
After experiencing the ultimate harvest-to-plate dinner, head to the patio for the hotel’s special movie nights – hosted every Friday and Saturday during the summer. Oh, and there’s a private pool – just in case you weren’t convinced yet…
