The Spot:

Taking inspiration from taquerias in Mexico City, Toro Loco is a lively yet casual spot, fitted with high table tops, hand painted murals and a pop of pink, complimenting the industrial metal accents. On the weekends, Toro Loco spices things up for brunch with their mezcal party, featuring special themed servers, burlesque dancers and music from an in-house DJ. And ofcourse, this brunch party involves signature cocktails and unlimited sharing plates…

The Food:

Helmed by chef Silvestre Mora, the menu features all the Mexican staples, including nachos topped with three cheeses; braised pork tacos and burritos with chorizo and cotija cheese. The not-so-American burger comes with chipotle slaw and key lime scallions, while paired with a side of adoba fries.

The Drinks:

To go with your colorful Mexican fare, mixologist Cody Goldstein offers both classic drinks and signature cocktails, focusing on mezcal and tequila. Highlights include “Say Aloe to My Little Friend” (tequila, aloe vera, lime, curacao, and salted honey) and “The Devil in Disguise” (mezcal, Ancho Reyes, creme de cassis, sage, and ginger beer).
