The Bari

OPENED528 DAYS AGO

A new Japanese and Korean fusion restaurant – The Bari – lands in Noho.

Brought to you by executive chef and co-owner Mason Rhee – formerly of Miss Korea – with restaurateur Danny Hanh – of Asian hotspot Don Chung Hong – The Bari focuses on upscale Asian cuisine.

The Spot:

Although the menu boasts upscale Asian dishes, The Bari aims to offer a casual and welcoming setting. Amber lighting sets the mood upon the sleek and minimalistic space, featuring curved white walls, white furnishings and marble tabletops. An open kitchen gives you a sneak peek of what’s to come…

The Food:

Living up to its name – “bari” translates to “bowl” – chef Rhee offers small plates, rice and noodle dishes, as well as larger entrees – all served in ceramic bowls. Blending Korean notes with Japanese fare, dishes include herb-roasted bone marrow with kimchi, Korean pork belly with honey miso, and uni risotto with white truffle oil. But that’s not all – The Bari also includes a bar where you can enjoy aburi-style sushi (flame-seared fish) or an omakase experience.

The Drinks:

Complimenting the Japanese and Korean fusion dishes, The Bari serves seasonal cocktails and traditional teas.

The Bari- Crispy Milk Bread Crusted Pork Ribs

The Damage:

Small dishes vary between $8 and $28; entrées cost $29-$63, and the omakase is $65.

In a Nutshell:

Offering a menu with a variety of dishes – from noodles to omakase-sushi to a classic Wagyu steak – The Bari will satisfy pretty much any craving for Asian cuisine.
