Tali and Tali Dolce

OPENED338 DAYS AGO

Gluten-free Italian lovers, prepare yourselves for the latest opening from EE Restaurant Group: Tali Restaurant, and next-door bakery Tali Dolce. From Chef Harold Dieterle, Tali and Tali Dolce will only serve gluten-free items, from pasta dishes to pastries, to homemade ice cream.

The Spot:

Tali is located in the heart of the Gramercy and the Flatiron Area. An area known for its Italian cuisine – such as Scott Conant’s spot Fusco and the world-renowned Eataly, Tali and Tali Dolce will bring gluten-free Italian dining to an area that isn’t for the wheat-sensitive. Located on Lexington Avenue, Tali is sitting smack between two large subway stops (23rd and 28th Street), surely bringing heavy foot traffic and hungry gluten-free eaters.

The Food:

The food at Tali and Tali Dolce is everything that you could expect to find in an Italian restaurant and Italian pasticceria – except without the gluten, of course!  Restaurant menu items include Meyer Lemon Spaghetti, Yellow Squash Ravioli, Spaghetti & Meatballs, and Pasta Bolognese, as well as a variety of Panini made exclusively with Tali’s homemade gluten-free bread.  Panini options include Mushroom Taleggio with Spinach and Truffle Oil, and Chicken Saltimbocca with Prosciutto, Sage, and Fontina cheese.  The bread will be provided from the next-door pasticceria, which will also make exclusively gluten-free options, such as various pastries and desserts.

The bar at Tali will include 8 different gluten-free taps from the city, including wine, Prosecco, and Dry Rose Cider.

In a nutshell:

Tali and Tali Dolce are bringing gluten-free Italian food to the heart of New York City.  While the phrase “gluten-free Italian” is a task difficult enough to make some Chefs run, Chef Harold Dieterle has crafted a delicious menu of Italian dishes that can be happily eaten by anyone and everyone.
