Spuntino Bar

OPENED92 DAYS AGO

You may have heard of the Italian restaurant, Vai, on the Upper West Side which recently closed. Well now, owner Vincent Chirico, has turned the space into a new bar serving large and small plates of Mediterranean-style food – Spuntino Bar. Given the fact that we are looking to milk the last days of summer as much as possible by hitting new Med-inspired hotspots like Cervo’s on the Lower East Side and Mykonos Blue, we’d say this opening has come at the perfect time.

The Spot:

The new bar is taking the place of the formerly named Vai restaurant by the same owner and will retain much of the same decor with the exception of a few changes and touches.

The Food:

The majority of change at this new spot will lie in the menu, replacing the restaurant vibe with more of a focus on the bar and drinks. They are serving large and small plates of Mediterranean-style food with crudo as a specialty.

In A Nutshell:

A great spot to hit when wandering through the uptown streets of the city which offers the perfect respite from the oppressive summer’s heat.
