Salvation Burger

OPENED1100 DAYS AGO

When April Broomfield and Ken Friedman opened Salvation Burger earlier this year, no one anticipated it only lasting three months. Due to a fire causing major damage to the restaurant’s kitchen they were forced to close in May.

But now, like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Salvation Burger is really living up to its name and, as of today, is open once again for business. Despite the stresses of repairing and reopening a restaurant, Bloomfield and Friedman have even managed to debut another project, White Gold Butchers in between all the action but the focus today is on Salvation Burger.

Located inside The Pod Hotel in Midtown East, the new and improved spot has been a long time coming. At the time of closing it was said that they would reopen within a matter of weeks then the opening was pushed back to October but still delays continued however, today, it is officially open!

If you were lucky enough to sneak into Salvation Burger before it shuttered, you’ll see that the menu and decor is the same as it was. Expect menu options that include burgers made on house made buns like the ‘Salvation Burger’ with caramelized onions and Tallegio and a fish burger served with cabbage and tartar sauce.

Other options include salads and hot dogs as well as starter like bone marrow and wood roasted oysters. Shakes like toasted marshmallow, as well as boozy shakes like butterscotch scotch are available also. Vegetarians can rest assured that there are meat-free options also including a veggie burger.
