The Best New Dishes To Try in NYC This May
With so many chefs and restaurant owners joining forces and adding new items to the menu, there’s always something new to try in this city. In the food and drink world, a new month marks new dishes – this is our guide to the best to try this month…
The Israeli-owned bakery dedicates May to cheesecakes, filling their famous babka with creamy cheese and raisins, while also offering a variety of new items this year. Think cheesecake jars with oreo, tiramisu or caramel speculoos – good luck with choosing.

For this month’s female guest chef collaboration, The Sosta partners with celebrated author Athena Calderone to offer a refreshing menu item for spring. Featuring trumpette pasta, the dish includes strawberries, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, serrano peppers, goat cheese, tarragon, and a mint-lime citronette.

Packing Indian flavors into the restaurant’s signature dumplings, the fried Indian dumplings are filled with ground chicken, garam masala, ginger and spinach, while served with a cumin-jalapeño yogurt dipping sauce.
