FryGuys

OPENED299 DAYS AGO

FryGuys relaunches with a new chef and expanded menu to match.

A fun little venture by fry fanatics McKenzie Foster and Marco Lanuto, FryGuys instantly stood out with generously loaded fries and its rainbow-coloured design – even in the East Village. After a month-long renovation, they’re back in style with a new menu of outrageously unhealthy but oh-so wonderful offerings.

FryGuys - founders

The Spot:

With flashing neon lights and rainbow-coloured pieces of art popping out left right and center, it’s practically impossible to walk passed FryGuys. Their new improved look is slightly more stylish inside, featuring a plush velvet banquette that seats more of your carb-loving partners in crime.

The Food:

FryGuys offers the humble potato in three ways (twice-cooked French fries, curly fries and tater tots) before covering them with a mountain of toppings. New signature creations include kimchee fries (queso, bulgogi, kewpie mayo), Buffalo chicken (complete with blue cheese) and nachos with sour cream and a generous scoop of guacamole. If you’re really hungry (or hungover), FryGuys now offers their lavishly loaded fries in bucket-sized portions, which is actually meant for sharing but we all know how that will end.

Besides fries, the menu also includes sandwiches with slow-roasted pork and smokey BBQ sauce, or the Mac ‘n Pork with their homemade sauce featuring six different cheeses.

The Drinks:

Drinks are just as indulgent, including milkshakes infused with fruity pebbles and vanilla ice cream (BamBam), Cap ‘n Crunch cereal and peanut butter (what a combo), and the obligatory duo of cookies and cream.

The Damage:

Loaded fries are priced at around $7-$9; sandwiches are $7, and your sharing bucket of fries costs $17.

In a Nutshell:

Fries decked with never-ending toppings, mac and cheese sandwiches, and cereal milkshakes – what’s not to love people?
