Fournous Theophilos

OPENED68 DAYS AGO

Midtown welcomes a new all-day Greek destination, Fournos Theophilos.

Fournos Theophilos aims to showcase the country’s rich culture, history and traditions through its cuisine and design.

The Spot:

Transporting you from Midtown to the Mediterranean, the space is fitted white tiles and Greek art, while your to-go packaging is printed with ancient literature and poetry – selected by a famed Greek author, no less.

The Food:

Fournos Theophilos takes pride in sourcing most ingredients directly from Greece, ensuring a line-up of traditional countryside cuisine. Think braised lamb leg with chickpeas and mint yogurt sauce; short rib with Santorini sun dried tomatoes; and pickled greens served with feta sauce. But the main event might just be their pies, available with sweet or savory fillings, or deconstructed in a cup for the perfect, portable pick-me-up.

The Drinks:

The team is still waiting on approval for their liquor license, which will bring in a selection of Greek wines, beers and sprits. In the meantime, you can enjoy other Greek-inspired delights like a baklava milkshake – yes please.

In a Nutshell:

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Fournos Theophilos is definitely worth checking out if you work in Midtown and want something other than sweetgreen.
