Brooklyn Wing House

OPENED32 DAYS AGO

Brooklyn Wing House: A new wing restaurant has opened in Crown Heights with some juicy dishes on display – including one honoring the Notorious B.I.G. If you’re not residing in the area of Brooklyn, it could seem like a trek to come to Crown Heights to sample some wings but with recent openings like Brooklyn Pizza Crew, this area is definitely worth the trip for those in need of unpretentious, classic eats that don’t come with a hefty price tag.

The Spot:

The new restaurant is at 1218 Union Street and is the brainchild of Aundre Spaulding, a Crown Heights native, and friend David Spence, both of whom “really love wings,” the owner said. Executive chef Omar Walters of Omar’s Kitchen is in charge of the menu.

The Food:

The menu features a variety of nontraditional flavors including a dish honoring the borough’s rap royalty – the Notorious B.I.G – a catfish sandwich made on a cheddar bay biscuit served with collard greens, smoked turkey neck and peppercorn for $15. Other wings found on the menu will come in 10 flavors including a sweet chili rum glaze, pineapple teriyaki and even a Ciroc-infused habanero flavor. There will also be classics like fried chicken and waffles, fried catfish and waffles and mac-and-cheese balls and other sandwiches.

The Damage:

Prices at Brooklyn Wing House start at $8 for a traditional six-piece, or $6.50 for a five-piece of boneless wings. Most menu items are priced somewhere between $10 and $14, with sides and drinks going for $3 – $6 each.

In A Nutshell:

Brooklyn Wing House is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, as well as an epic brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. If you’re in need of a new spot to get your chicken fix or you’re looking for a reason to head to Crown Heights, Brooklyn Wing House will be it.
