Ardyn

OPENED130 DAYS AGO

A new American restaurant, Ardyn, has arrived in Greenwich Village.

An ever-changing undertaking by Ryan Lory and Adam Bordonaro (both of Charlie Palmer Group and Fig & Olive), Ardyn offers three different experiences driven by the seasons.

Ardyn-broccolini

The Spot:

Divided into a lounge with cocktails and bar snacks, a dining room serving a la carte dishes and a tasting-menu-only chef’s counter, Ardyn is a large space doing its name justice in décor. Named after a sacred forest, expect lots of green and earthy tones – from the tiles to leather banquettes and wooden tabletops – as well as a striking black croc-skin-designed private dining space for a decidedly contrasting experience.

The Food:

Wherever you decided to sit, Ardyn sources all ingredients from local farmer’s markets and artisanal supplies. Small plates are big in refreshing flavors, including white asparagus with Iberico ham, spring onion, and pistachio or scallop crudo with sugar snap pea, green strawberry and marcona almond, while large-format dishes are more hearty (duck and dry-Aged wagyu ribeye).

The Drinks:

Cocktails take a seasonal approach too with current offerings including cucumber-mint vodka (mixed with lemon, honey and celery bitters), a bourbon-based concoction sweetened with brown sugar and rhubarb, as well as wines highlighting small vineyards.

Ardyn-pasta with peas

The Damage:

Dishes range from $14 to $24; Ardyn’s tasting menu is priced at $85 per person with an added $60 for drinks.

In a Nutshell:

Beautifully presented small plates in a warm setting – we couldn’t think off a better area for Ardyn to call home. Greenwich Village, consider yourself lucky.
