Motorino, the much-loved pizza joint, has just opened a new location on the Upper West Side.
Upper Manhattan’s food scene is definitely starting to earn a better reputation; now, we can welcome a joint that’s been dubbed the “city’s best pizza” by the New York Times.
The menu will follow suit with the other locations in the city and offers up an extensive selection of Italian classics. Start off with items like clams al bianco (served with oregano garlic bread), roasted chicken wings (lemon, chili flakes, red onion and mint) and Motorino’s meatballs (3 meatballs braised in tomato sauce with pecorino and basil).
Then lean into the list of pizzas to choose from that include a soppressata picante (with tomato sauce, fior di latte, soppressata, olive oil, chili flakes and sea salt), a Brussels sprout pizza (with fior di latte, garlic, pecorino, smoked pancetta and brussel sprout leaves) and Cemini mushroom (with fior di latte, sweet sausage, garlic, thyme, pecorino, gate olives, sea salt and cremini mushrooms). As with the other locations, an Acunto wood fired oven delivers the delicious offering.
With 8 locations under their belt, spanning New York, Hong Kong, Manila and Singapore, Motorino is fast becoming a pizza mega-brand, spreading their tasty fare as far as they can.
The Motorino on the Upper West Side is located at 510 Columbus Avenue between 84th and 85th Streets. The space is snug, with just 600 square feet of space to work with, and has about 25 seats. Currently, they are only serving dinner, with brunch and lunch coming soon. They also deliver.
